without getting to involved, its all down to what decoder (in your case) the MP wants to use as default.

you must have installed the Elcard video decoder codec at some point and thats become the default.

several things you can do, assuming you have other codecs installed that can play the mpeg2 DVD video, just uninstall the Elcard codec and the next one in the list should take over automaticly.

or you can try useing MPC instead as thats a better media player 'Media Player Classic'
