changing my proxy aint really an option as i have a windows pc networked and a mac networked and it's not my network as why would some sites load slower than others or time out....
all happened in the last couple of days as well. look at the slowness

1st 512K took 4652 ms = 110.1 KB/sec, approx 907 Kbps, 0.89 Mbps
2nd 512K took 4367 ms = 117.2 KB/sec, approx 966 Kbps, 0.94 Mbps
3rd 512K took 4376 ms = 117 KB/sec, approx 964 Kbps, 0.94 Mbps
4th 512K took 4370 ms = 117.2 KB/sec, approx 966 Kbps, 0.94 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 951 Kbps, 0.93 Mbps
