Re: NTL are destroying me!

I am happy to make a counter claim in the small claims court, where I do not need a solicitor. I am currently half way through a doctorate in law, but admittedly that is for an entirely different jurisdiction and I have no experience of common law whatsoever. Talking to collegues, however, as far as I can see I have a solid claim.

I received various notices for the bill in question, but running parallel to that I also received another contract along with a different bill covering the exact same period. These later bills contradicted the earlier bill they are still pursuing and are strong evidence that NTL themselves acknowledged that unrequested new contract was invalid.

I don't think that NTL sending me a new contract by post just because they feel like it makes it a valid obligation - I was told before I moved that my prexisitng signed contract would continue. If I am not mistaken I can subpeona NTL for the transcripts of these calls. They told me themselves that the bill they are pursuing was wrong.
