I was wondering who these NTL folk are that inhabit this forum and why they are are here.

I received a pre court division letter from NTL today
It appears they desire to sue me for not paying a contract I didnt agree to.
I will be interested to see what the court says.

I signed a 12 month contract last october which I paid faithfully every month by direct debit. I was happy to pay for this contract. I signed it, and I agreed to it.

However, I am not happy to pay for any of the various unsigned, considerably more expensive 12 month contracts NTL has sent me since - contracts that even their customer services told me I would not have to pay for.

I have some questions - is this pre court division letter simply another threat?

Is there a secret policy in place to threaten people into agreeing to new tariffs/unwarranted charges/services?

Is it a case that NTL sales staff will do anything for commission and the company policy as a whole is to support all such sales, whether they are 'real' or not?
