The uppercase KB implies BYTES, not bits so this is equal to 9.4mb, sounds pretty reasonable to me.
I am only on 4mb with my Linksys WRT54G so I cant comment on mine, however, I know several people using the exact same router as me on 10mb with no problems.
Though If you plan to use p2p you will need to install a 3rd party firmware to stop all the port forwarding problems.
