its immoral that you tying up shared badnwidth on your ubr for a 24 hour period, I guess me and you disagree if you dont think thats immoral.

I dont find it immoral to not seed a torrent since its either illegal or the legal torrents tend to have permenant fast seeds on them anyway.

Do you also need to seed 24:7 to get 1:1 ratio?

The same arguments can be made against downloading/uploading anything using HTTP, FTP, NNTP etc. There's nothing special about Bittorrent.

In fact, there's much more in the way of "illegal" material available on Usenet, but how often do you hear people condemning NNTP?

nntp/ftp/http are all much lighter on resourse usage then p2p in both that they require much less upload bandwidth (acks only) and lower pps.
