Living in bedfordshire...
Was upgraded from 1meg to the 4meg tier yesterday when calling NTL.
Ever since the upgrade, my internet has slowed down to a snails pace most of the time.

1st 128K took 2172 ms = 60346 Bytes/sec = approx 502 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 2344 ms = 55918 Bytes/sec = approx 465 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 1296 ms = 101136 Bytes/sec = approx 841 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 922 ms = 142161 Bytes/sec = approx 1183 kbits/sec
Pathetic really, averaging around 512k to 1mb access, ocasionally giving 2meg speeds.
