Currently using dyndns as my router has the option in there to use and update it, but i'm finding every month and a bit, becasue I have not updated any settings, it kills my domain name, which as you can imagine is a bit of a ****er.
Do ntl offer static IP addresses to residential customers, or is it only to business customers??
Thanks in advance.

Set up a
static account on dyndns.org - they never expire. It can be updated just as often as the dynamic account. The only real difference is that the propogation time through the DNS system is several hours rather than the several minutes for dynamic accounts.
The dynamic accounts are really meant for people who's IP changes very frequently, e.g. everyday.
I've used a static account for a couple of years with my NTL connection, during which time my IP has changed perhaps three or four times. It's worked fine, and I've never noticed the longer propogation time.
