Have you played much on a console, compared to a PC? Gameplay controls, let alone the different quality of graphics (can be good, but not necessarily), often provides a competely different experience

If you go for a console, will you be tying up the household TV to play, when a separate computer leaves the TV free. Similarly as you probably need a PC for email, internet and all sorts of other stuff why spend on a dedicated console when your PC can do that job just as well.

Bottom line I suspect it comes down to gametype, but certainly the OCD genre runs well on PC but was only emulated on the consoles.
