Well here in Manchester we have just been offline for over 4hours of zerro speed. So not sure NTL can sustain 4mb in this area without spending money my down times are always long and over the years starting to be more regular. instead of once every 4 yrs to yearly.
NTL only said their was a problem in Oldham area when I called but I was also affected so most of Ashton area would have been also.

come back online and still 2mb config file.

1st 512K took 5907 ms = 86.7 KB/sec, approx 714 Kbps, 0.7 Mbps
2nd 512K took 10282 ms = 49.8 KB/sec, approx 410 Kbps, 0.4 Mbps
3rd 512K took 7422 ms = 69 KB/sec, approx 569 Kbps, 0.56 Mbps
4th 512K took 10548 ms = 48.5 KB/sec, approx 400 Kbps, 0.39 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 523 Kbps, 0.51 Mbps
