As much as I think Peter Crouch is an over-rated numpty that's only in the squad because he's 4-foot taller than the rest of the players (and to think I'm a Villa fan too!
), at least he managed to put us out of our misery tonight. Gerrard's goal was much better, but I wonder if he'd have been as relaxed if Crouch hadn't secured the win a few minutes earlier...?
Overall, England's performance left me not overly impressed. For the best part of 80 minutes, we'd have counted ourselves lucky to have not lost the match. Let's hope we can improve for Tuesday's match against Sven's countrymen.
