Seriously, do that.
They subscribed to the terms and conditions of the contract just as you did.
If they refuse to pay then ask them what your recourse is in respect of their default.
If, as I suspect, they tell you that the engineers are not their responsibilty / third party then ask them why you would be expected to pay in the event of a default on your part to someone who is not party to the contract.

I have to admit i don't agree with some of your posts, However this is the best post i have seen on this forum in years. I too would like to see what NTL have to say reference this question.
