i see 'the others' didnt bother to type up their thoughts, shame.
the good news is that list looks really simple, and you only have 1 driver suitable for your machine to choose so thats good.
we or rather i, seeing as noone else seems available to help, need to get you used to getting to, and useing the device manager, as that is probably the most used section of windows for trouble shooting etc, so its something you need to be able to do for this problem and in the future too.
do this:
click start, click control pannel, double click system, click hardware, click
device manager (in sp2 its at the top, in xp/sp1 its second down),open the window
full so you can see al the entrys.
just for interest:
are all the entrys + or is there any red or yellow expanded - entrys ?, if so
they need looking at sometime.
click 'sound,video and game controllers'
bingo, we should now be able to see your USB DVB-T device listed there.
in my case, as said before, its 'usb digital tv receiver' and its not got any red
or yellow problems, yours might have embda or simular as part of its name at a
guess, thats the full name im after.
i dont use 'Free commander' usually, i prefer 'windows/total commander'
but iv just noticed if you click the far right blue computer icon
it opens a window with the device manager icon you can also click to ger there
quicker, but use get used to the old standard windows way at some point.
-----------------------------------------------------
AFTER you have become happy about getting to your device manager and finding that
problem DVB device and type it name here then and only then
should you worry about the next bit.
these are the files you need to concentrate on, nothing else is
importent.

you might be in luck as i am, in that, usually the driver dir does not have
one of those 'SetupDrv.exe', and in my case the BDA drivers i use for my cheap
yuan USB card that file allows me to install AND uninstall just the driver, and
leaves the tv app alone, so lets hope its the same for you too.
usually people only have the option to unstall/uninstall the whole driver and app
at the same time, the file above will make it a little simpler to uninstall , and
by that i dont just mean delete the copyed files but also remove the registry
entries (you dont need to know about them at this point usually being so new).
im going to assume at this point, that you have managed to get to the Device
manager and can see what looks like a valid and working entry for the DVB-T and
will post its name next post.
double click it,click driver, click driver details.
1:
you should see several something.sys files after
c:\\windows\system32\*
with the words BDA somethng (in my case bdaln.ax,BDA_capture_220.sys and
BdaSup.sys)
2:
IF the files do not match your files above
emBDA.sys, emPRP.ax, emAudio.sys, emOEM.sys then its pritty clear the MS update
has installed its BDA drivers and there lies the problem probably.
got that?.
i like to right click driver .info files to pre-install them, and for you (i
think everyone should use these 2 pannel file managers like fv and W/total
commander)the easyest way is to start up 'free commander',
click Extras, click settings, click view, and finally click 'show hidden files'
keep in mind, the novice user shouldnt really be seeing much less deleteing or
otherwise mesing about with these hidden files, so keep that in mind, and realise
your doing this just incase we need to go into the windows dir and hidden sub
dir's to see and copy over files if need be later, notice theres loads of
apparent junk files/dirs inwindows dir, LEAVE THEM ALONE, its not a problem, but
would be if you deleted the wrong one.
right to pre-install the cd drivers:
goto E:\USB_350U
and right click emaudio.inf, select 'install', do the same for embda.inf, thats
it, and hopefully that will copy the right files to the right windows dirs, but
not yet add the right entrys into that weard widows registry yet, that will
happen when the unknown device (twice)finds the right drivers this time.
got that so far ?.
by now you should have been able to find the device name or perhaps 2 names if
your DVB uses 2 devices, one for video, one for audio, mine has just 1 and works
fine.
if as per 1: and they do match the files names in your cd drivers bit, then i still
need to know.
