I completely agree.

Sky have been well naughty with this. Fortunately I'm in a position to have the technical know-how to diagnose what Sky have done to my PC but as you say a lot of people are not in the same position. I think there are two issues here...

1) Sky do not make it clear what their software actually does (from the point of view of installing P2P with almost malware like behaviour that absolutely will not stop [excuse the T1 quote]) and the implications of installing it.

2) They have made it very hard for most people to remove once it's installed

As a disgruntled Sky customer I am already in the process of taking this further with both them and a rather well known consumer watchdog publication.

Ok, that's it I propose we bring this thread to a conclusion before it is in danger of going really off-topic o)
