spoke to alan burke at customer retentions he spoke to his manager looks like none of the price increases affect me so can't cancel my account with ntl.but he did confirm that if the price increases did affect me I would be able to cancel my account.Too buy my way out of the contact going to cost me £342.85 my contact runs until feb 07 roll on.
Assuming from your date quoted above that you joined on Feb 7th of this year I suggest you email Mr Burke and ask him to confirm in writing that the price increases introduced since you signed up don't affect you. You might also want to ask him to confirm that the "45 mins and counting" which you spent on the phone will not have cost you anything.

You see - some of us can remember calls to NTL customer services being free (certainly as recently as February of this year). However, since they started charging for these calls a few weeks ago that constitutes a price increase in respect of their services provided.

I, for one, would be interested in seeing his reply.
