Bit of a sneaky workaround, but I'm using Freeserve's DNS servers and it's working for me now. The servers I'm using are

194.152.64.68
194.152.64.25

Thought that might help some people till NTL fix their problems.

edit - anyone know Telewest's DNS servers...?
