For reference 19x address's you ca post on the forum as they are useless to anyone that does not know your actual ip address. For instance I'm on a network and my (LAN) ip is 192.168.1.20. My actual WAN address is a 80.xx.xx.xx type.
Have you gone through the reboot as described? Each time you switch between usb and ethernet you must do it.
What happens is your cable modem assignes the real ip to the usb cable port. Then when you swap over to the ethernet the port does not give out an ip. What you must do is got through the full reset for the modem to recognise the connected ethernet cable and assign the ip to that port.
