OK, just a couple of snippets of information I thought i'd put into the thread:
The IP address is typed in to the address bar of your web browser, not the start->run box, however if you want to open the modem config page this way you must include the http statement in the run box ie
http://192.168.100.1.
Doing an IPCONFIG is going to do absolutely nothing to determine the level of service that your on.
To open a DOS from the start->run box the command on Windows NT, 2000, and XP is CMD, for WIndows 95, 98 and ME it is COMMAND.
