Personally I would like to see Shaun Wright-Phillips given ago, I seem to remember Kieron Dyer play very well as a support striker and Shaun is even quicker and trickier than him, I think he and Defoe would scare teams as well as being a relative unknown quantity for foreign teams.
well as i said before if Owen can't go the perfect replacement would be Aj as they are very similar types of player and both offer pace and skill too something Crouch doesn't have.. would love to see AJ or Defoe tried out in the Owen role in the friendlies we have coming up

would like to see SWP as i'm not sure if some of the defences could handle him
