Hurrah, I knew someone would know it. It IS Gravity Power. Fantastic game, unfortunately 2 player only and no one ever wanted to play against me - too busy with Sensible Soccer and Championship Manager...
Voted 2nd best Amiga game ever by readers of Amiga Power. Gravity Power was the third incarnation of the Gravity Force franchise and was free on a cover disk of Amiga Power.
I wish they'd release an online version for XboxLive Arcade. It'd clean up, but the original makers aren't really too bothered about reviving the thing - there are loads of versions available - I just use the original version on an Amiga emulator, but still no one will play with me.
