Glad I read this, allthough wish i had read it before I cancelled the TV.
As a first step in getting rid of the NTL BS I have had, I today decided to stop the TV services side, and look at the other services on offer by other companies (Talk Talk)

I was told that there was a 30 day notice period, however lo and behold, no TV service straight away.

As for Talk Talk they of course cannot connect me because I need a BT line first.

So my question is I guess, would it be worth ringing NTL and asking for retentions.

I now just have 1Mb BB and Phone.
