Re: unable to access www.match.com

Thanks Stuart

I spoke to NTL again this morning, and they suggested that spyware was causing this problem and to run ad-aware. I was skeptical but did it anyway - no problems found except cookies.

Then on asking again, they said that it was not NTL's responsibility to support websites. However I said that I was not convinced it is the website because it works on other people's NTL, and on BT Broadband, and on my work internet. Also, I don't believe it is my machine because everything else on the net works ok, and I haven't installed anything or changed any settings between it working and not working.

They said I should contact the website which I have done, but I suspect they will say there is no fault at their end. So... then what do I do ? It must be someone's responsibility? What can I do to troubleshoot and resolve this?

Other things I thave tried already:
- powering off computer and modem
- disabling Zonealarm security suite (the website worked before with this)
- using the Firefox browser

Any advice very welcome!
Thanks, Pete.
