EDIT: Forgot to say, this means that no traffic will be traversing this node now so the problems should have gone away.

On the other hand they may have done some stuff with it but all the -bb- nodes are untraceable from outside of the network. Probably relates to the dodgily done MPLS overlay.
So dunno looks as though traffic was manually rerouted around as your trace now traverses Dublin to get to London.
Maybe someone from ntl will be kind enough to let us know what happened. It looks at first inspection like their (all manual, that's why I called the MPLS overlay dodgy) traffic engineering went pearshaped and congested links.
