Yeah, I've tried downloading at off peak times but I still get connection errors.
Can you download either of the two test files?

BTW this problem started happening sometime at the end of March. Have NTL done anything to the service which could be causing this error? I'm on 3mb. I live in Weybridge,Surrey if that makes a difference.
