Re: Speed Issue - Nothing left to do but leave NTL?
My issue is been investigated, but I will make it clear it is not as a result of official channels it is people putting time and effort in out of kindness.
The investigation so far has found nothing obvious wrong but it is still ongoing.
Their are a few reasons I havent downgraded yet but I will if I dont get a discount or the problem is resolved within a few weeks.
I do get max upload speed which is useful for me although not the primary reason for been on this tier.
My speeds do increase at quiet hours and this lets me do my downloading then. Without that increase and if I was say on 1mbit all day long I would be downloading over a longer period lagging everything much more.
If speeds were more nominal I wouldnt be suddenly queueing up large downloads in the evening but I would expect there would be less lag in live apps such as ssh, and things like driver downloads and downloads I need right away would be a decent speed and web browsing would be responsive.
Some will say to me ahh so you can download fast then, yes I can. I accept things shouldnt be max speed all day but I would expect performance to be always higher then the lower tier and of the previous 3 meg product. I would also expect honesty of tech support.
