OK, if those servers are all at work, your work VPN should be sufficient. It will encrypt the traffic as far as the work firewall and then allow you to use Remote Desktop, Xwindows, etc within the work network for server admin.
If you want even more security, you could get an SSH server (such as
OpenSSH) on the servers and use an SSH tunnel inside the VPN tunnel - probably a bit OTT!
