Someone whom Uncle Sam wanted (and got) on the basis of no evidence turns out to be, er, innocent.

What on earth do New Labour and the US Adminstration have against proper evidential procedures anyway? Guantanamo, Iraqi WMDs, control orders, rendition. Can't just be coincidence that they keep wanting to bypass justice, surely?
