As if it isn't bad enough that they set up camp wherever they feel like, that they then trash the location and leave piles of rubbish if/when they leave, and never mind that they go around stealing to make ends meet.
Now they want that enshrined as their 'human rights'!

The House of Lords is to rule on a traveller row that could stop planned evictions around the country.

This case was started when some pikeys decided to set up camp on public land in Leeds.

While the Maloney family subsequently moved on and some of them were found plots in an official council-run travellers' site, they continued their case in the courts, arguing that eviction breached their right to family life as set out in the European Convention on Human Rights.

So when they choose to move on (ok, under
threat of eviction) and they're found a
suitable location they steel feel they need to go to court?
Oh, and BTW - who is paying for this ridiculous waste of legal time?
And note that the pikeys have already had some sort of victory from Strassbourg:

The court added that an eviction had to take into account a country's responsibility towards a vulnerable minority.

Hang on a minute - these people
choose to put themselves in that position. They don't have to live by lying, stealing and cheating - not paying tax and racking up thousands of costs for councils when they leave their sites as waste dumps.
They make a mockery of the law and then have the gall to use the law for their own ends.
I think it is high time the rest of us abused the system in the same way. Why should I pay council tax? And if I don't, why do the police think it's perfectly OK to arrest me? And if I'm caught in possession of an untaxed, uninsured, stolen car - why is that any reason to pull me over? Why can I not handle stolen goods safe in the knowledge that even if the police KNOW I've got them, they won't actually do anything?
