Yes, I've got the same problem. I can't receive any emails from MSN on my ntl account. I logged a call with MSN help using a different email address (not NTL). I got an answer from them through the non NTL account, giving me an alternative method of verify the new MSN account.
I would suggest logging a email with MSN helpdesk. But you'll need to use an alternative email account (do you have a work account you could use?)
I think the underlying problem is once again that NTL's anti-spam measures as described here:
http://www.ntlworld.com/helpsupport/spam/missingemails.php are stopping wanted emails.
