I've been trying to get it to pick up the wireless network and when I go and do browse for Wireless networks it does pick it up and shows full strength bars on the signal display. So it is connecting.
However, when I then go and open up the browser, it does not detect any connection to the Internet and no pages will load.
I've checked the interent options in the browser and all is set normally.
When I right click the wireless connection it said something about not fully operating succesively so I attempted to do a "Repair connection" and it then goes to get rid of the surrent IP and renew it. This is where it then fails and tells me it can not get an IP.
So how it is showing it can pick up the network I dont know.
Anyone know how I can sort this out to get it to allow me to use the Internet.

Quite simply, sending of network SSIDs and other data does NOT require for TCP/IP to be present.

I was browsing a silimilar thread I found by searching, and someone mentioned something to do with Mac Address filtering.....To check the Mac ID of the wireless card was being allowed to access the network.
Would this be worth doing and if so how do you do it ?

Yes it would be worth checking, you can find this out by checking in the configuration of the Router itself

It could be worth trying, you would do this from the Properties page of the Wireless Network Connection.
