Only just found the time to pop back to the forum. My daughter actually went down to her bank, and asked them to cancel her card. She was told that changing it would not help. The bank told her that companies took money from the cards main account number not the card number. As the bank was insisting that this was the case, she decided it would be a waste of time to cancel the card. Again, don't believe everything people tell you.
The Trading Standards people are still trying to help me, but NTL are still insisting that I cancelled on the 23rd of December. You would think that monthly bills with no phone calls made on them, would some how alert them to the fact that I wasn't using the phone line. How stupid can these people get, second thoughts, don't answer that question.
