amazingly my e435s has the same greyscale problem. It follows the same pattern as everybody elses, unplugged power, moved monitor, reconnected and hey presto screen with blue cast. Although I can go one better, all the menus came on in Japanese(or chinese not sure which).I tried the autoset up function and yes the monitor is perfect for a few seconds then it rverts to smurf vision. Alas my monitor is out of warantee....bugger
