Thanks very much for the various replies.

I'm not sure if I've articulated my problem right. All I'm looking to do is take the connector off (f-type, thank you very much for letting me know what it's called), re-routing the cable then reapplying the connector. I would only do it if I thought I could do it prooperly, and without loss of signal. Your right in saying that ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£25 is not much, but I imagine the crimper and connector will cost less than ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£5 in maplins, and I think I've got a multimeter around somewhere. I'll have a look and see what I can pick up, and make a decision later, but in the mean time I'm very greatful for the speedy responses. Now that I've found you all I imagine I'll be lurking around for quite some time.
