and i also find (so far) BY to be not very reliable at all, in the few weeks ive been on with them, i have had 3 times where i cant connect, cable light just blinking, and a phone call to them just gets me "there is an outage in the area, and you will be back on asap" which the 3rd time (yesterday in fact) took me untill 7am this morning to connect again  alltho, from what i read on forums, cable is alot more relible than DSL, all i say to that is, i feel so so sorry for people on DSL |
I've had cable problems also where my modem keeps flashing the lights to indicate that it's offline, you can't even turn your modem off for some reason as well ,and I got the same response when I phoned them, just like you say " there are people working in the area", it's happened about 3 times so far but yes, stay clear from DSL I still do not regret in anyway turning to BY and when I see these other ISPs I just think how lucky I am.
