My apologies - I was just a little too full of cynical anticipation of watching England going out in the quarter finals, followed by 2 weeks of every newspaper dedicating the entire sports section to post mortem after post mortem, this leading to another week of telling us how the new England manager "is the new saviour", only for him (or her - you never know, perhaps the FA will get
really desperate) to get sacked 2 years later for losing in the quarter finals of Euro 08 to some small tinpot country....
