I was getting very good and excellent strnegth, I checked that just incase.
The problem i have now is I enabled WEP and its encrypted my router I cant connect without a network key, I dont know the password, anyway round this?

ipconfig /release

might clear it up - this is what works for me instead of a restart.

It could be that mate, because sometimes I travel from room to room still connected, can that cause problems?
