Post Re: Slow wireless help

hi, here is a fix for ur slow speeds when using wireless. i was having ur problem, full 10mb d\l speeds when using the lan ports, 400-700k d\l when using wirelessG, this is on a linksys router, but it will work whatever router u use. this fix is for WinXP, linux as u have seen, does not suffer from the problem. download DRTCP, open it and on the settings page, at the bottom, select ur wireless adapter from the drop down menu. use the following settings for the rest:

TCP Recieve window: 64240
Window scaling: yes
Time stamping: no
Selective acks: yes
MTU discovery: yes
MTU: 1500 (this is the MTU box just to the right of ur adapter name)

click 'save'.

go to a good d\l site, where u know u should get max d\l speeds.
ur speed will be around 0.98MB - 1.12MB \s.
