I'll always remember the start of the 1991 season, Les Sealey had left for Aston Villa, and Man U had signed Peter schmeichel in the summer. Everyone had heard about Schmeichel's ability to kick (and throw the ball) a huge distance, and just before the kick off, Les Sealey came and sat down next to the Man U supporters (me included) to watch Schmeichel's performance.
The Look on Sealey's face was a great moment, as he watched Schmeichel kicking and throwing the ball almost the full length of the pitch with comparitable ease. It was great that he had taken the time to sit with the Man U fans, and have a banter with us. A larger than life character, that will live in the memory of Man U supporters (and supporters of the other clubs he played for) sadly there are not many characters left like him in the game now. The link I gave above, says how he offered Jim Leighton his FA cup winners medal in 1990, a measure of the man I would say.
