The Basic setup for the Sweex (I have the non-wireless model), for NTL, is to select Cable/Dynamic IP mode, and specify a timeserver

Use your UBR address, or 194.168.4.76 is the address of the main one - don't use that if you turn the router off at night, as it's unfair to hit it every day.

The Router takes the 80.x address, behind a router, you will always have a private IP address - incoming connection have to be port forwarded, for some P2P or conferencing programs to work - many routers have some form of application gatewaty setup you can automate this with.
