The US is somewhat of an enigma that on the one hand the place is full of evangalists spouting psuedo religious cr*p 24/7 and anyone who is anyone purports to be devoutly religious and the other they sell pron and perversion like it's going out of fashion !!
To my mind the place has no real moral foundation !
But on the question of pron on the net....I have two young daughters whom I am paranoid about protecting. I believe all forms of pron should be like smoking - banned from public areas and made as expensive as possible to dissuade access to it !!!
Unfortunately the boundaries of what is acceptable are being pushed further into the mire every day. You only have to watch programs like the ones about Holiday reps and that Villa thing or read The Star / NOTW etc to see what I mean (10 pages of tits'n bums & 5 of football !!).

, sex is OK (actually more than OK !!) but most of this stuff is sensationalism and exploitative !
