On the contrary - I think he must have felt the shame to bring him to top himself. (OK,
assuming he did the crime!)
I'd rather these monsters took themselves permanently out of the gene pool, than to have them get a ridiculously short jail sentence etc.
After all these cases the families always say the sentence isn't enough - now they've got a hanging, what more could they want?
