Paul, Ive checked the account details and everything is in lower case. Although the incoming port is down as 995 and not 110 as recommended in an earlier thread. I am using Windows XP (and yes firewall is included). I'll do a test and copy details in next post.

Paul. Message received when opening Outlook Express "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F". I can only get OE if I have logged into Ntlworld mail.
