As somone who suffers with tinitus and 40% hearing loss in both ears (none of which was caused by loud noise), the scariest thing I come across are cars with all the boom boxes in which play music loud enough to wake the whole street. Deafness in waiting.
Silliest part is I wear earplugs to concerts because the noise is too loud.
