Hi, thanks but I'd already tried those and they didn't help. The attached image (if I've managed to attach it correctly) better explains what's happening with my download speed - downloading the 50MB iso file from
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/testmyspeed/ shows the speed is up and down all of the time rather than being a reasonably flat line (as you'd expect).
