Regarding connection of the printer. There are a number of ways of doing it. You can get a separate, standalone print server adaptor for the printer - versions come with USB or parallel connections, and they can be ethernet (for wired connection to the router) or wireless.

You can however be more sophisticated and get a combined wireless router with printer port. I can't find one by Linksys, but D-link do something like this http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=274 Not having used this I personally cannot say if it's any good or not.
