Thanks Patrick. Actually since I had used AOL for 5 years, when I bought a new hard drive I dumped Outlook Express. However I run IE and Firefox in parallel since leaving AOL a couple of weeks ago. As others have siad AOL gets everywhere and you cannot delete some things!

I think I am preferring Firefox because of the tabbing which is a lot less bother than favourites in IE. So I have now downloaded Thunderbird and I'll probably give it a try. Cannot do any harm and it might be good especially if it's compatible with Firefox.
