Thanks for the fast response

It works... As said above the modem is connected to the router (i bought this out of pc world and is cable compatible apparently "i did check") the router and adapter connect no problem. I plug the modem into ethernet port 1 and that works too. I pull port one out and the internet disables... thats where the problem is occuring...
