Yes but obviously you'd need to configure it- and if it's a desktop PC and you were reasonably confident opening the case, I'd prefer a wireless PCI card to the USB one- USB networking devices are in my experience inferior to the internal ones, and sap more of the CPU etc etc.

The important thing is choosing a router which does NOT include a DSL modem as that will NOT work seeing as you're keeping the cable modem.
