If you are really bothered about having BB+ through the router, you could try cloning the mac address of the pc that you connected standalone onto the router, then connecting this to the modem. You will also then have to change the mac address of the nic in the pc to avoid address conflicts on your home network.... so might be more hassle than it is worth!
