Recently bought does not necessarily mean modern. When new models appear there can be large stocks of the older models in various parts of the distribution chain. These can take a long time to work their way through the distribution chain and sell if most buyers only go for the newer models. I have seen many parts in new systems which were manufactured two, three or more years prior to the system being sold.
